Corleone family compound for sale on Staten Island

More than 125 men were arrested Thursday in what's being called the "largest mob roundup in F.B.I. history." Prosecutors said 34 made members of New York?s five crime families?Bonanno, Colombo, Gambino, Genovese and Luchese?as well as members of crime families in New Jersey and New England were among those detained, according to The New York Times. One place the police didn't hit in the early-morning raids was the Staten Island Tudor where Connie, the daughter of "Don" Vito Corleone, married Carlo Rizzi. The scene of the wedding in "The Godfather" is for sale. "Since it was only a movie, you'll never have to worry about mob members knocking on the door," reads the description on Top Ten Real Estate Deals. "Own the magic; own the movie history! Next time you host a big wedding, all you have to do is run the DVD to get pointers!" The eight-bedroom "Corleone Staten Island compound" is on the market for $2.9 million and features an inground pool and four-car garage, according to the realtor's website. Perhaps your home isn't quite so grand. But if you're planning to sell it, the same rules apply?make it look as good as you can. Clear out the clutter, clean everything to a fare-thee-well and arrange your furniture to highlight the home's best features. Soon you'll be getting an offer you can't refuse. ?Mary H.J. Farrell
