In the pink: Sparkling ross to remember

After bringing together Deborah Kerr and Cary Grant, in "An Affair to Remember," pink champagne was all the rage. But like an aging starlet, it fell on hard times in later years and struggled with its reputation. Now the pink bubbly is making a comeback in the form of sparkling ros and it deserves consideration. Our tasters recently uncorked seven bottles of sparkling ros and found six of them to be very good including an $8 bottle of Yellow Tail Sparkling Ros Bubbles. Yellow Tail's sparkling wines are topped with a nifty new "cork" that is easy to open and reseal, preserving the fizz. Also tasty were a De Bortoli from Australian and a Korbel from California for just $12. And if you want to impress your date on Valentine's Day try the Roederer Estate Brut Ros for $26. When you do, pop the cork and pour the ros gently down the side of a champagne flute for full effect. To enhance the romance, pop in a DVD of "An Affair to Remember" and enjoy pink champagne like lovers did in its heyday. ?MHJF
